Cheiridopsis denticulata is a compact, clumping mesemb with thick, bluish-green leaves that emerge in pairs and often develop a slight reddish blush in hot sun. The leaf edges may be slightly notched or "toothed," giving it its name "denticulata". In fall or winter, it produces bright yellow fireworks-like flowers that open in full sun.
