Hoya vangviengiensis has elongated, lance-shaped leaves that are relatively thin. The foliage is medium to deep green with a smooth surface and subtle, sometimes faint venation visible under light but emerges brown. Leaves grow in opposite pairs along slender, vining stems that can trail or climb. Flowers are star-shaped, white and fuzzy.
