Long, slender, thicker leaves with deep green centers and dark maroon to almost black margins when grown in higher light. Variegation shows cream, yellow, pinkish though the center of each leaf. Variegation can vary. Produces clusters of small, waxy, burgundy-pink star-shaped flowers with a "sweet" fragrance.
