Kalanchoe luciae 

Native range: South Africa

Known names: Paddle Plant, Flapjacks

Hardiness: Best to keep above freezing

Mature Size: Forms a cluster, ~8" tall

Light: Full sun - light shade, afternoon shade is best. 

Water: Drought tolerant but appreciates water during hotter seasons. Maybe every other week during summer, once a month in winter.

Soil: Succulent mix, add sand. 

Dormancy Period: Winter

Pet-Safe: No

Plant Size: 2.5" pot

 

Red-tinted leaves can grow up to 6" long. Color intensifies with heat/cold stress. Yellow flowers in spring.
