Hemiepiphytic, self-heading plant with enormous, glossy green, heart-shaped leaves. Rarely flowers indoors, though mature outdoor plants can produce a typical greenish-white aroid inflorescence. Grows both on the ground and up trees in its native habitat, and is fast-growing once established. Commonly grown in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bright, indirect light and consistently moist, never soggy, soil.
