Pilea spruceana

Native range: Central and South America

Known names: Pilea involucrata, Friendship Plant, Silver Tree

Hardiness: Best above 60°F, thrives indoors. 

Mature Size: ~12" tall, ~8" wide 

Light: Very early morning sun, dappled light, too much direct sun will wash out leaves.

Water: Soil can dry out slightly but best kept moist.

Soil: Fast-draining, holds moisture well but fast-draining. Add extra pumice or perlite into potting mix.

Dark copper green (almost black) ripply leaves with a bold silver streak running through the center. Clusters of micro flowers appear in Summer.
