Serissa japonica ‘Variegata’ is a compact, finely branched shrub with very small, oval leaves and one of the few indoor plant that produces bark texture on the trunk; which makes an attractive bonsai. The foliage is green with irregular creamy-white to pale-yellow variegation. It also produces small, star-shaped white flowers usually in spring through autumn.
